Terminology, like the wind (and shoe styles) changes but if you live long enough, ‘old things’ become ‘new again’, but with a new name. Vitamin F is one of those old things that’s new again (under the heading of “fatty acids”). Vitamin F aids in the repair of the tissues in our body and helps our metabolism. Even though it is essential, vitamin F isn’t produced, without assistance, by our bodies; it is something produced because of the foods we eat.
I’m reminded of another term we rarely hear, holiness. Please allow me to clarify, by holiness I do not mean: what’s on (or not on) your head, the length of your skirt or whether (or not) you wear those old school, thick white stockings. Holiness, as I define it, is a way of life; being transformed and changed on a daily basis from a prior lifestyle to one that you believe is more in line with the one for which you can never achieve on your own (Romans 12:2; 2 Timothy 1:7; Ephesians 4:22 – 24). On my own, holiness would never occur; I know me and I have issues but the One who created me sees not only who I was and who I am now, my Creator sees me in my final state. What’s my final state? When I’m without limitations or fetters (another old school term). I can’t speak for anyone else but I can’t get from my now to where I’m intended to go without the empowerment and guidance of the one who is already where I’m trying to go. What about you? What and who is your spiritual Vitamin F? Remember, it is not something we can produce on our own. Blessings, Rev. Toni
